Office clearance for businesses in Essex

Office clearance from a small team based in Theydon Bois, near Epping. We carry out the desks, chairs, filing cabinets and old IT, load the van ourselves and leave the floor clear. Send us a photo of the room and we will come back to you with a price.

What we take

What goes in the van from an office

Tell us what is staying and what is going, and we work around the rest of the room.

Desks and workstations

Single desks, bench desks, corner units and meeting tables. Where a desk will not fit through the door in one piece, we take it apart first.

Office chairs

Swivel chairs, stacking chairs, reception seating and the broken ones that have sat in the store cupboard since the last move.

Filing cabinets and storage

Metal cabinets, cupboards, shelving and lockers. Empty them first, or tell us there is paper inside so we can talk about it before the day.

Computers and IT

Monitors, base units, printers, keyboards, cables and desk phones. Wipe or remove any drives that hold your data before we collect.

Staff kitchen

Small fridges, microwaves, kettles, tables and chairs from the break room, along with the cupboard of mugs nobody claims.

General office rubbish

Old signage, packaging, flattened boxes and bagged waste left behind after a move or a change of layout.

How the job runs

From the first photo to an empty room

  1. 1

    Send us photos

Walk round with your phone and send pictures of each room, plus the stairs or lift and where a van can park. A short list of what is going helps us price it properly.

  2. 2

    We price the job

We price each job from what you send. If the photos leave a question, we ask it before giving you a price rather than guess.

  3. 3

    We agree a time

We plan the clearance around your working day where we can. Tell us about loading bay rules, lift bookings or a building manager we need to speak to.

  4. 4

    We clear and sweep

We carry everything out ourselves, take care not to cause damage to walls, doors and floors on the way, and leave the space clean.

Your duty of care

Business waste and the paperwork that goes with it

Waste from an office is business waste, and the rules are not the same as clearing a house. The GOV.UK guide Managing your waste: an overview (updated 5 February 2025, read on 15 October 2026) says a business must check that whoever takes its waste is registered to carry it, and must complete a waste transfer note for each load that leaves the premises.

Anyone can look up a carrier on the Environment Agency public register. It takes a minute, and it is worth doing with any office clearance company you speak to, us included. Search for CBDU525129 and you will find us.

Keep your copy of each transfer note somewhere safe. If waste from your office ever turned up dumped in a lay by, that paper trail is how you show you handed it over properly.

Rules can change. Check the GOV.UK page for the current wording before you rely on it.

How it is priced

How we work out the price of an office job

There is no set rate for an office, because no 2 offices hold the same things. We look at what you send and price the job from that. These are the things that move the price:

  • How much there is, judged by how much of the van it fills
  • Weight, as metal cabinets and boxed paper are heavier than they look
  • Access, including stairs, lifts, long corridors and parking
  • Items that need handling on their own, such as fridges and screens
  • Furniture that has to be taken apart before it can come out

Send a photo and we will come back to you with a price before anything is loaded. Our rubbish removal prices page explains in more detail how a price is built and what pushes it up or down.

Who uses it

Who asks us to clear an office

Small firms moving to a new unit. Businesses changing their layout and getting rid of the old furniture. Offices that have finally decided to tackle the store room. Landlords and agents emptying a unit between tenants.

No job is too large or too small. A single room of old chairs is as welcome as a whole floor, and we price both the same way, from what you show us.

Questions

Office clearance questions

Can you clear an office while we are still working in it?

+

Tell us which rooms are still in use and we will plan the clearance around them. If your building has set hours for loading, let us know when you send the photos.

Do you take old computers and printers?

+

Yes. Monitors, base units, printers and phones are electrical waste. Wiping or removing drives that hold company or customer data is your job before we arrive. Our electrical waste disposal page has more detail.

What paperwork should I get?

+

GOV.UK guidance updated 5 February 2025 says a business must complete a waste transfer note for each load that leaves its premises. Mention it when you book so the note is ready on the day, and keep your copy.

How much does an office clearance cost?

+

It depends on the amount, the weight and how easy it is to get out. Send us a photo and we will come back to you with a price. Our prices page explains what changes the cost.

Which areas do you cover?

+

We are based in Theydon Bois near Epping and work across Essex and London, with some of Hertfordshire. The areas we cover page lists the towns.
